We made two of these fibreglass Blue Whale hearts, for Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Life size educational interactive displays that children crawl into and access screen, sound and graphics.

Created for Te Papa Tongarewa - 'Whale Tohora' Exhibition. Designed to have a travelling life of ten years. Currently one of the hearts is touring internationally and the other is on permanent display in Wellington Te Papa, New Zealand.
1. Designed for children to climb inside and learn about the amazing life cycle of a Blue Whale. Older viewers also got to fully appreciate the scale of the biggest living creature on earth.
2. Human Dynamo workshop made the hearts in two halves, to enable cleaning, and ease of travel and installation. The model was hand sculpted from Poly Foam, then fibre glassed and hand finished and painted. It included a flat panel video screen, back-lit information panels and audio systems to complete the experience and understanding of a Blue Whale.
