Stealth - model scud missile launchers

Stealth movie
Seven of these miniature scud missile launchers were built over three months. Designed to fly apart in scale. One was packed with explosive and blown up as a test in a quarry. The others were safely exploded three at a time in the studio set.
Human Dynamo Workshop also supplied the fortress set.

Stealth modelThis was a fantastic job from Columbia Films, a Rob Cohen directed movie. We built six hero Russian scud missile launchers and one test model. The scale was 1/5.6 scale making them 2.3 m long. The fortress courtyard to blow them up in was 13 x 8 m. This was a very successful project and Bennett Walsh the producer has offered to personally recommend Human Dynamo if required.

The original brief was to spend 2 days shooting the explosions, but on seeing the quality of the models, 2 extra days were allocated for beauty shots to be cut into an extra sequence in the movie. Human Dynamo produced and filmed the job providing final footage to Columbia.
