Rainbow Springs Kiwi Experience (2011) and Interactive Creatures (2018)
Educational and Interactive Playground Creatures and Kiwi Eggs
Kiwi experience and Interactive Creatures (2011)&(2018)
Kiwi Experience: Human Dynamo created several playground creatures and an interactive educational exhibit for Rainbow Spring's visitors. The exhibit included a giant luminous egg to help bring to life the incubation process of the kiwi bird. To further educate visitors to the permanent exhibition, Human Dynamo also fabricated a range of kiwi eggs.
Visitors to Rainbow Springs are able to step inside the large cracked egg that houses educational technology. Some kiwi motifs are projected onto the surface of the giant kiwi egg. When back-lit the eggs show embryos in different stages of development.
Interactive Creatures: See the world though the eyes of a Tuatara or Weta. Educational interactive Tuatara and Weta heads and eyes. Our team designed and built two interactive playground structures styled as native New Zealand creatures.
The custom playground installations feature realistically modeled heads of two ancient native New Zealand species: the Tuatara (Reptile) and the Weta (Insect). Visitors to Rainbow springs can experience the outside world with the same vision as these creatures.
