Tanqueray Champion Cocktail Shaker (2015)
Victorian-inspired cast iron cocktail mixing devices designed and fabricated for Tanqueray Gin in collaboration with mixologist Jason Crawley — the Imperial Shaker, Champion Shaker and Citrus Press.
Tanqueray Cocktail Series (2015)
Gin company Tanqueray and noted New Zealand mixologist Jason Crawley collaborated with Human Dynamo Workshop to design a series of Victorian-inspired cocktail mixing devices. Jason had encountered a historical sketch of a similar machine and wanted to bring its spirit back to life as a functioning, branded product for the spirits industry.
Our team handled design, digital fabrication of the foundry patterns, and assembly of the finished pieces. The cast iron components were produced through traditional sand casting, with mechanical assemblies built up in-house and finished to a level fit for hospitality use and product launch photography.
Three models were developed for the series: the Imperial Shaker, the Champion Shaker, and the Citrus Press. Each was hand-cranked, mechanically functional, and produced as a small run for use in the No. Ten launch and ongoing brand activations.
