Wellington Zoo Sculpture Refresh (2022)
Cleaned, restored and repainted Wellington Zoo's outdoor animal sculptures — including the tarantula, centipede, lizard, sun bear and tiger — returning each piece to gallery-fresh condition.
Human Dynamo Workshop was proud to help give new life to these much-loved animal sculptures - long-time favourites with young visitors at Wellington Zoo. Originally created by Izzat Design, the pieces were due for a refresh, and our team carefully restored them to bring them back to their former glory.
The restoration included the following sculptures:
Tarantula spider
Centipede
Blue-tongued lizard
Sun bear
Tiger
The photos show some before-and-after views of the work. Each sculpture was repaired, refinished and revitalised, ready to delight a new generation of zoo visitors.
