Leatherback Turtle - Full size

An interactive display of a fully grown Leatherback Turtle, for Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter and Underwater World. This was an exhibition piece that children can climb over, so t had to be bullet proof. This leatherback turtle was sculpted out of one piece of polystyrene. It was then transformed to thick hollow fibreglass, before it was hand painted with the toughest paint available.

This megalodon floor installation covered 100 sqm in painted plywood tiles, joined by layer of stringers and packers underneath. The 3D life size dorsal fin and tail mounted onto this.
